Οι μέθοδοι που εφαρμόστηκαν ήταν οι εξής: Adaptive automatic pole placement, Manual pole position, Automatic pole placement using multiple warped IIR filters with different warping parameters, μέθοδοι που αναλύονται με λεπτομέρεια στη συνέχεια. Ως target χρησιμοποιήθηκε ένα απλό bandpass φίλτρο με low cut-off frequency = 180 Hz και high cut-off frequency = 20000 Hz. | |
| dc.description.translatedabstract | This thesis examines the use of digital equalization methods in multi-channel audio systems, aiming to improve acoustic performance in enclosed spaces. Three different equalization methods for a multi-channel sound system were analyzed and compared. The process involved measuring the impulse response of each speaker in the space, developing equalization filters for each impulse response using each method. The thesis first analyzes basic theoretical concepts and quantities. It then discusses in more detail the spectral pole placement method and the categories of methods used in this work. The methods applied were as follows: Adaptive automatic pole placement, Manual pole position, and Automatic pole placement using multiple warped IIR filters with different warping parameters, which are discussed in detail later. A simple bandpass filter was used as the target, with a low cut-off frequency of 180 Hz and a high cut-off frequency of 20,000 Hz. The lower frequencies from 20 Hz to 180 Hz are served by the subwoofer. The implementation part is then presented, detailing the tools used, the experimental setup, and the methodology for performing the measurements and extracting the results. Specifically, for the analysis and application of the methods and for the evaluation of the results, the software MATLAB, REW (Room EQ Wizard), Audacity, and Excel were used. The results were evaluated based on the accuracy of the equalization and the impact of the methods on sound quality. Both graphical and statistical analyses of the results were performed using MAE, MSE, RMSE, Spectral Flatness, and Frechet Distance. These values were compared for the initial signals, the estimated results, and the final measured results. The thesis concludes with findings on the effectiveness of the methods and suggests improvements for future applications. | |
