The purpose of this paper is to present as thoroughly as possible, in particular in the theory regarding the Beautiful of Plotinus, and generally with regard to the wider aspects of the Beautiful. Plotinus has as its central axis its own, hierarchically structured, philosophical metaphysical system based on three basic principles: the En, the Mind and the Soul. He is the founder of Neoplatonism and one of his most important representatives. His work consists of 54 treatises, classified by his student and follower, Porphyry, in six "Enneads". Plotinus theory of the Beauty is diffused in all the "Enneads", but is more systematically analyzed in three of them: in I 6 ("On the Good") and in excerpts of V 8 ("On the Imaginable Beauty") and VI 7 ("On how the multitude of ideas suffered and about the good"). His main source of inspiration is the Platonic theory, especially the dialogues "Symposium", "Faidros" and "Timaeus". In this paper, we will deal exclusively with the I 6 treatise "On the Good". In more detail, in the first chapter, we will focus on how we can perceive the sensative beauty and the reason that allows us to get to know the imaginable beauty. While in the second chapter, we will analyze the similarities that bridge the two fundamental principles, namely the Mind and Soul, but also the fundamental differences between them, which divide them into two self-existent and self-dependent substances. The most important issue in this chapter will be the effort to understand the concept "simulation"of the Soul to the Mind so that it can engage the imagined beauty.el
