| dc.description.abstract | In this thesis, we study the problem of recognizing/classifying different body parts from Magnetic Resonance Images (MRI). We follow an approach that utilizes the compressed sensing/sparse representations theory. Our work is based upon a recently proposed image classification method that utilizes sparse representations for the problem of face recognition. | dc.description.translatedabstract | Σε αυτή τη διπλωματική, μελετάμε το πρόβλημα της αναγνώρισης/ταξινόμησης διαφορετικών μερών του σώματος από τις εικόνες μαγνητικού συντονισμού (MRI). Ακολουθούμε μια προσέγγιση που χρησιμοποιεί τη θεωρία συμπιεσμένης αίσθησης/αραιών αναπαραστάσεων. Η εργασία μας βασίζεται σε μια προτεινόμενη μέθοδο ταξινόμησης εικόνων που χρησιμοποιεί αραιές αναπαραστάσεις για το πρόβλημα της αναγνώρισης προσώπου.
