| dc.description.translatedabstract | The aim of this thesis is to develop a regulatory framework for training in real-time dynamic systems and dynamic control approaches to achieve the study, modelling and experimental implementation of a non-linear physical system of three tanks (Amira DTS200). By way of introduction, the experimental setup of the system is presented, as well as the required equipment, such as the NI USB-6001 data acquisition card. The physical system is modelled mathematically using mass balances and flow equations, and its dynamics are described by means of spatial equations. The system's connectivity is then described, a control buffer model with open-loop and closed-loop operation is designed and implemented in the MATLAB/SIMULINK environment, allowing real-time control of the system. The design and execution of two laboratory experiments comparing control techniques, the first with a first-order open-loop system experiment and the second with a second-order closed-loop system using P and PI controllers, complete the thesis. The results highlight the didactic importance of studying dynamical systems using physical equipment in understanding complex dynamical phenomena and validate the accuracy of the control design. | |
