| dc.description.abstract | Η έρευνα στο πεδίο των Έξυπνων Πόλεων και του Διαδικτύου των Πραγμάτων στρέφεται πλέον προς την αυξανόμενη χρήση κινητών υπολογιστικών συσκευών σε συνδυασμό με σταθερές υποδομές που ήδη υπάρχουν εγκατεστημένες στον αστικό ιστό, προκειμένου να γεφυρωθεί το χάσμα μεταξύ πραγματικού και ψηφιακού κόσμου. Οι κινητές συσκευές αυτές προσφέρονται κυρίως από εθελοντές χρήστες, το προφίλ των οποίων είναι αρκετά ευρύ, και οι οποίοι είναι πρόθυμοι να συνεισφέρουν πόρους και δεδομένα χάριν ενός κοινού στόχου. Στην συγκεκριμένη εργασία θα ερευνήσουμε μηχανισμούς για την υποστήριξη και εκτέλεση πειραματικών διεργασιών πάνω από κινητά τηλέφωνα εθελοντών στο πλαίσιο της δημιουργίας μιας "υποδομής" για έξυπνες πόλεις. Αυτοί οι μηχανισμοί αφορούν στην παροχή δυνατοτήτων επίβλεψης και διαχείρισης της εκτέλεσης υπολογιστικών φόρτων, οι οποίοι διανέμονται προς εκτέλεση σε κινητά τηλέφωνα εθελοντών χρηστών, με σκοπό τη συλλογή δεδομένων που σχετίζονται με μια έξυπνη πόλη. | el |
| dc.description.translatedabstract | Research in the field of Smart Cities and the Internet of Things is focusing its interest to the growing use of mobile computing devices combined with fixed infrastructure already established in the urban environment, to bridge the gap between real and digital world. Mobile devices are offered mainly by volunteers, whose profile is quite broad, and who are willing to contribute resources and data in order to achieve a common goal. In this work we will investigate mechanisms to support and execute experimental processes over the mobile phones of volunteers users in the context of creating an "infrastructure" for smart cities. These mechanisms concern the potential of executing and managing computational loads, which are distributed for execution on the smartphones of volunteers users, in order to collect data related to a smart city. | el |
