| dc.description.abstract | Η βιωσιμότητα έχει αναδειχθεί σε κρίσιμο παράγοντα που επηρεάζει τη διαμόρφωση και την εφαρμογή της εταιρικής στρατηγικής στις σύγχρονες επιχειρήσεις. Η εφαρμογή αυτής της τροποποίησης οδήγησε στην ανάπτυξη του τρισδιάστατου πλαισίου ESG, το οποίο επικεντρώνεται σε τρεις θεμελιώδεις πυλώνες: Περιβάλλον, Κοινωνία και Εταιρική Διακυβέρνηση. Η φιλοσοφία ESG επιδιώκει να προσφέρει μια ολοκληρωμένη μέθοδο για τους οργανισμούς να αναθεωρήσουν τις λειτουργίες τους και τις διαδικασίες λήψης αποφάσεων, με στόχο όχι μόνο τη μείωση των αρνητικών επιπτώσεων αλλά και τη βελτίωση της ευημερίας όλων των ενδιαφερόμενων μερών. Η αυξανόμενη παγκόσμια προσοχή προς την ESG έχει οδηγήσει στην ανάπτυξη κριτηρίων αναφοράς για εξαιρετικές επιδόσεις σε αυτούς τους τομείς, καθώς και δεικτών για την αξιολόγηση των επιδόσεων σε αυτούς τους τομείς.
