Abstract

Computed Tomography (CT) and Computed Tomographic Angiography (CTA) are fundamental imaging techniques in the assessment of stroke, assisting the medical team both in diagnosis and in evaluating the severity of the patient's condition. In this context, the present educational application was developed with the aim of providing users with a theoretical foundation regarding the principles of CT and CTA, the basic pathophysiology and imaging of stroke, as well as multiple-choice questions for self assessment. The application was built using programming languages such as TypeScript, HTML, and CSS, and with the support of a range of tools including Next.js, MDX, AriaDocs, and the cloud platform Vercel, which hosts the app in a user-friendly environment. This application was designed to enhance and facilitate learning about stroke imaging using CT and CTA, and it is primarily intended for medical students, neurology and radiology residents, as well as medical physicists and other professionals involved in this field. Upon completion, the application was tested by a small group of medical students and junior doctors for initial evaluation. The future goal is to conduct a full and detailed assessment of the educational tool.
