Industrial Control Systems (SCADA) are critical components for the operation and automation of production and energy infrastructures. Many of these systems were designed before the widespread use of modern networks, without integrated security mechanisms, which makes them vulnerable to cyberattacks. Strengthening their protection requires the exploration of new cryptographic technologies. This study examines the implementation of a hybrid security model that combines classical Elliptic Curve Cryptography (ECC) with Quantum Key Distribution (QKD), aiming to ensure secure communication within SCADA environments. The proposed system was developed and tested in a simulated environment, showing positive results regarding functionality and cooperation between the two security layers. Although the implementation remained at an experimental stage, the findings indicate that this approach can serve as a solid foundation for future research toward post-quantum security mechanisms. The work thus contributes to the study of practical integration of quantum-based techniques in industrial networks, providing valuable insights for further development and optimization.
