| dc.description.abstract | Καθώς αυξάνεται ο μέσος όρος ζωής στους ηλικιωμένους τόσο πιο συχνό φαινόμενο είναι και η σαρκοπενία. Από πολλούς μελετητές χαρακτηρίζεται ως ένα γηριατρικό σύνδρομο με σοβαρές επιπτώσεις στην ποιότητα ζωής του ανθρώπου που μπορεί να οδηγήσει σε νοσηρότητα ακόμη και θνησιμότητα. Η γήρανση συνοδεύεται από απώλεια μυϊκής μάζας και δύναμης που μπορεί να οδηγήσει σε μειωμένη αντοχή, και λειτουργική ανικανότητα. Πολλές μελέτες κατά καιρούς έχουν ασχοληθεί με την αποτελεσματικότητα των μετρήσεων και την αξιολόγηση αυτών. Ενας συνδυασμός τεχνικών και μεθόδών έχουν αναλυθεί για την εκτίμηση της χρήσης των υπερήχων ως μέσο αξιολογήσης για την έκταση των αλλαγών στη σύνθεση του σώματος. Σκοπός της παρούσας ανασκόπησης είναι η ανάδειξη των μεθόδων και τεχνικών αυτών ως βασικό εργαλείο μέτρησης, εκτίμησης και αξιολόγησης με σκοπό την πρόληψη αλλά και την κλινική αντιμετώπιση σε ασθενείς με σαρκοπενία. | el |
| dc.description.translatedabstract | As the average life expectancy in the elderly increases, the more common is sarcopenia. Many scholars have characterized it as a geriatric syndrome with serious implications for human quality of life that can lead to morbidity and even mortality. Aging is accompanied by loss of muscle mass and strength which can lead to decreased endurance, and functional disability. Many studies have at times focused on the efficacy of measurements and their evaluation. A combination of techniques and methods have been analyzed to evaluate the use of ultrasound as a means of assessing the extent of changes in body composition. The purpose of this review is to highlight these methods and techniques as an essential tool for measurement, evaluation and evaluation for the prevention and clinical treatment of patients with sarcopenia. | el |
