| dc.description.abstract | Η σύνθεση του διδακτικού προσωπικού έχει αλλάξει τα τελευταία χρόνια. Η δημογραφική γήρανση, οι συνέπειες της οικονομικής κρίσης και οι πολιτικές λιτότητας, έφεραν στην επιφάνεια και ανέδειξαν τα τρωτά σημεία του κράτους πρόνοιας. Η μείωση του παραγωγικού πληθυσμού, οι πιέσεις και η αύξηση του ορίου συνταξιοδότησης επέφεραν συνέπειες ακόμα και στην ανώτατη εκπαίδευση, καθώς οδήγησαν σε αυξημένη συγκέντρωση καθηγητών μεγαλύτερων ηλικιακά. Στην παρούσα εργασία εξετάζεται η ηλικιακή διάρθρωση του διδακτικού προσωπικού στην ανώτατη εκπαίδευση, φέρνοντας στο προσκήνιο το φαινόμενο της «ανεστραμμένης πυραμίδας» αλλά και τη σύνθεση ανά βαθμίδα. Στόχος της είναι η περιγραφή της πραγματικότητας που κυριαρχεί στα Πανεπιστήμια στην Ελλάδα. Στην παρούσα εργασία αξιοποιήθηκε η ποσοτική μεθοδολογία καθώς έγινε ανάλυση αριθμητικών δεδομένων από επίσημες πηγές, για την εξαγωγή αντικειμενικών συμπερασμάτων. Τα αποτελέσματα της μελέτης έδειξαν υψηλό μέσο όρο ηλικίας μελών ΔΕΠ και περιορισμένο αριθμό νεότερων ηλικιακά καθηγητών, ακόμα και στις πιο μικρές βαθμίδες. Επιπλέον, Αναδείχθηκε η «ανεστραμμένη πυραμίδα», η οποία αποτυπώνει περισσότερους καθηγητές σε υψηλότερες βαθμίδες και λιγότερους στις μικρότερες βαθμίδες. Τέλος, αναδείχθηκαν διαφοροποιήσεις στην ηλικιακή σύνθεση κάθε πανεπιστημιακού ιδρύματος. Πιο συγκεκριμένα, στα κεντρικά πανεπιστήμια κυριαρχούν αριθμητικά οι ανώτερες βαθμίδες, ενώ στα μικρότερα και πιο περιφερειακά πανεπιστήμια είναι μεγαλύτερη η συγκέντρωση καθηγητών χαμηλότερων βαθμίδων, ωστόσο η μέση ηλικία αυτών παραμένει υψηλή. | |
| dc.description.translatedabstract | The composition of teaching staff has changed in recent years. Demographic aging, the consequences of the economic crisis, and austerity policies have brought to light and highlighted the vulnerabilities of the welfare state. The decline in the working-age population, pressures, and the increase in the retirement age have had consequences even for higher education, as they have led to an increased concentration of older professors. This paper examines the age structure of teaching staff in higher education, highlighting the phenomenon of the "inverted pyramid" and the composition by level. Its aim is to describe the reality that prevails in universities in Greece. This study used quantitative methodology, as numerical data from official sources were analyzed to draw objective conclusions. The results of the study showed a high average age of faculty members and a limited number of younger professors, even at the lower levels. In addition, an "inverted pyramid" emerged, with more professors at higher levels and fewer at lower levels. Finally, differences in the age composition of each university were highlighted. More specifically, the higher levels dominate numerically in the centrals universities, while in the smaller and more peripheral universities there is a greater concentration of lower-level professors, although their average age remains high. | |
