| dc.description.abstract | Η παρούσα βιβλιογραφική ανασκόπηση έχει ως θέμα τις φυσιοθεραπευτικές παρεμβάσεις που εφαρμόζονται σε παιδιά με καρκίνο. Τα παιδιά με καρκίνο παρουσιάζουν αισθητικές και κινητικές δυσλειτουργίες ως συνέπεια της νόσου και των θεραπευτικών διαδικασιών που υποβάλλονται. Συνήθεις επιπτώσεις αποτελούν το άλγος, η κόπωση, η αδυναμία, το μειωμένο εύρος κίνησης και τα ελλείματα στην ισορροπία και την βάδιση. Η παρουσία αυτών των συμπτωμάτων οδηγεί σε μείωση της λειτουργικότητας του παιδιού, επηρεάζοντας έτσι την ικανότητα του να συμμετέχει σε καθημερινές δραστηριότητες. Πέραν των σωματικών επιπτώσεων, ο καρκίνος έχει αρνητικό αντίκτυπο και στην ψυχολογία του παιδιού, με τα παιδιά που πάσχουν από καρκίνο να εμφανίζουν συχνά χαμηλή αυτοεκτίμηση και κατάθλιψη. Η φυσικοθεραπεία συμβάλει σημαντικά στην αύξηση της λειτουργικότητας και στην βελτίωση της ποιότητας ζωής των παιδιών, μέσω της εφαρμογής συγκεκριμένων φυσιοθεραπευτικών παρεμβάσεων. Σκοπός της συγκεκριμένης βιβλιογραφικής ανασκόπησης είναι η διερεύνηση των φυσιοθεραπευτικών παρεμβάσεων που εφαρμόζονται στα παιδιά με καρκίνο και οι θετικές επιδράσεις που αυτές έχουν στα ελλείματα και στην ποιότητα ζωής τους. Η παρούσα εργασία βασίζεται σε βιβλιογραφική ανασκόπηση που προέκυψε από την αναζήτηση επιστημονικών άρθρων. Πραγματοποιήθηκε αναζήτηση στις επιστημονικές βάσεις δεδομένων PubMed, Google Scholar και Medline με τις κατάλληλες λέξεις- κλειδιά. Η αναζήτηση έγινε σε συνδυασμό 3 λέξεων π.χ. children AND cancer AND physiotherapy. Εφαρμόζονται φυσικοθεραπευτικές παρεμβάσεις όπως η σωματική άσκηση, το θεραπευτικό μασάζ, οι ύδρο- πλειομετρικές ασκήσεις, η πιεσοθεραπεία/ θεραπευτικό άγγιγμα καθώς και συμπληρωματικές παρεμβάσεις όπως η μουσικοθεραπεία, η γιόγκα και η εικονική πραγματικότητα. | |
| dc.description.translatedabstract | The present literature review focuses on physiotherapeutic interventions applied to children with cancer. Children with cancer experience sensory and motor dysfunctions as a consequence of the disease and the therapeutic procedures they undergo. Common effects include pain, fatigue, weakness, reduced range of motion, and deficits in balance and gait. The presence of these symptoms leads to a decrease in the child’s functionality, thus affecting their ability to participate in daily activities. Beyond the physical effects, cancer also has a negative impact on the child’s psychology, as children suffering from cancer often exhibit low self-esteem and depression. Physiotherapy plays a significant role in increasing functionality and improving the quality of life of children through the implementation of specific physiotherapeutic interventions. The aim of this literature review is to investigate the physiotherapeutic interventions applied to children with cancer and their positive effects on deficits and quality of life. This study is based on a literature review derived from the search of scientific articles. A search was conducted in the scientific databases PubMed, Google Scholar, and Medline using appropriate keywords. The search was performed by combining three words, e.g., children AND cancer AND physiotherapy. Physiotherapeutic interventions such as physical exercise, therapeutic massage, hydro-pliometric exercises, pressure therapy/therapeutic touch, as well as complementary interventions like music therapy, yoga, and virtual reality are applied. | |
