dc.description.abstract	Η παρούσα εργασία ερευνά την προγραμματιστική ικανότητα των παιδιών προσχολικής ηλικίας. Τα παιδιά εμπλέκονται στην δημιουργία προγραμμάτων στο ScratchJr, μια γλώσσα οπτικού προγραμματισμού σχεδιασμένη για παιδιά προσχολικής ηλικίας. Η υπολογιστική ικανότητα μελετάται με βάση τις λειτουργίες διαχείρισης του περιβάλλοντος του ScratchJr, τις προγραμματιστικές έννοιες και ικανότητές τους. Στην εργασία αναλύθηκαν οι δράσεις των παιδιών με βάση κατηγορίες που δημιουργήθηκαν απο την παρατήρηση της δραστηριότητάς τους κατά την επίλυση ενός προβλήματος και έπειτα μελετήθηκε ο βαθμός κατανόησης των παιδιών. Από την έρευνα αυτή, διαπιστώσαμε πως τα περισσότερα παιδιά κατανοούν και χειρίζονται πλήρως το περιβάλλον του ScratchJr και τις προγραμματιστικές έννοιες που χρειαζόταν να χρησιμοποιήσουν για να επιλύσουν ένα πρόβλημα στο περιβάλλον.	el
dc.description.translatedabstract	This paper explores the programming abilities of preschool children. Children’s programming capability is studied based on ScratchJr's environmental management functions, the programming concepts and other programming abilities such as the creation and execution of a program. We used an encoding scheme to code the actions of the children based on the functions and the concepts of the programming environment. Through the data analysis, we found that most children completely understand ScratchJr’s programming environment as well as the programming concepts.	el
