| dc.description.abstract | Τα έντομα των αποθηκευμένων γεωργικών προϊόντων και τροφίμων αποτελούν έναν από τους σημαντικότερους εχθρούς τόσο για την ποιότητα όσο και την ποσότητα του αποθηκευμένου προϊόντος. Οι εχθροί των αποθηκών διαφέρουν όσον αφορά στον τρόπο προσβολής. Έτσι, υπάρχουν οι πρωτεύοντες, οι δευτερεύοντες εχθροί, τα μυκητοφάγα είδη, τα αρπακτικά και οι επισκέπτες. Επηρεάζονται άμεσα από τις συνθήκες αποθήκευσης, καθώς η υγρασία και οι θερμοκρασίες που επικρατούν μέσα στις αποθήκες, ευνοούν την ανάπτυξη, την επιβίωση και την αναπαραγωγή τους. Είναι σημαντικό να αντιμετωπίζονται, με σκοπό να αποφεύγεται η υποβάθμιση των προϊόντων, που οδηγεί στην απώλεια της εμπορικής τους αξίας. Σκοπός της παρούσας πτυχιακής είναι η καταγραφή της βιολογίας και της οικολογίας των σημαντικότερων εντόμων των αποθηκευμένων γεωργικών προϊόντων και τροφίμων, καθώς και οι τρόποι αντιμετώπισής τους. | |
| dc.description.translatedabstract | Insects of stored agricultural and food products are some of the most important pests of agriculture, affecting the quality as well as the quantity of stored products. Storage pests differ in the way they infest the products. Thus, there are primary, secondary pests, fungivore, predator and visitor species. They are directly affected by storage conditions, as humidity and temperature in the warehouse affect their growth, survival and reproduction. It is important to control them in order to avoid deterioration of the products, leading to loss of their commercial value. The aim of this thesis is to document the biology and ecology of the most important insects of stored agricultural and food products, as well as the ways to manage them. | |
