| dc.description.abstract | H παρούσα διπλωματική εργασία αναφέρεται στον σχεδιασμό και την ανάπτυξη της PlacesApp, μιας εφαρμογής κινητών συσκευών που χρησιμοποιείται για εύρεση και πλοήγηση σε τοποθεσίες πολιτιστικού ενδιαφέροντος. Καλείται να αντιμετωπίσει το πρόβλημα που αντιμετωπίζουν οι επισκέπτες μιας πόλης ή ακόμα και οι κάτοικοί της που επιθυμούν να περιηγηθούν στα ιδιαίτερα αξιοθέατά της. Πέρα από προτάσεις για επίσκεψη με βάση την τοποθεσία του χρήστη, δημιουργεί και ένα μονοπάτι ενώνοντας πολλές από αυτές ώστε ο χρήστης να μπορεί να πλοηγηθεί με ευκολία ανάμεσά τους. Η εφαρμογή αυτή υλοποιήθηκε με χρήση της εργαλειοθήκης React Native και υποστηρίζεται από Google APIs για την εύρεση και αξιοποίηση πληροφοριών για πολιτιστικά αξιοθέατα. Με αυτόν τον τρόπο υπάρχει πρόσβαση σε μία από τις μεγαλύτερες βάσεις δεδομένων για τοποθεσίες χάρτη έτσι ώστε η εφαρμογή να είναι λειτουργική σε κάθε πόλη του κόσμου. Πέρα όμως από τις υπηρεσίες της Google, δημιουργείται μία βάση χρηστών οι οποίοι μπορούν να αλληλοεπιδρούν και να προσθέτουν περιεχόμενο στην εφαρμογή με τα δικά τους σχόλια και φωτογραφίες. Θα γίνει λεπτομερής παρουσίαση όλων των σταδίων υλοποίησης, από το τεχνολογικό υπόβαθρο, στην σχεδίαση και ανάπτυξη κώδικα και τέλος στην αξιολόγηση χρηστών που με την δοκιμή της εφαρμογής συμβάλλουν στην μετέπειτα εξέλιξή της. | el |
| dc.description.translatedabstract | The present diploma thesis refers to the designing and development of PlacesApp, a mobile app deployed for use in finding and navigating to sites of cultural interest. It addresses the problem that visitors or even residents of a city face when they desire to tour in its interesting cultural attractions. Apart from visit suggestions based on the user’s location, it creates a path connecting many of them so that the user can easily navigate to them. The app was developed using the React Native framework and is supported by Google APIs in order to find and utilize information about cultural attractions. As a result, the app has access to one of the biggest data bases for map locations so that it can be functional in any city in the world. Beyond the Google services, a base of users is created who can interact and contribute to the content of the app with their own comments and pictures. The thesis includes a detailed presentation of all the stages of implementation, including a discussion of the technological background, to the designing and development of code and finally the user evaluation that, by testing the app, contribute to its further evolution. | el |
